　　（英国《自然》杂志和英国科普组织“理解科学”（Sense about Science）
联合评选，为纪念《自然》已故总编John Maddox新设的约翰·马多克斯捍卫科
学奖，于今年11月6日首次颁发，我和英国精神病科医生Simon Wessely为获奖
者。）

　　得约翰·马多克斯奖我深感荣幸。在中国科学面临着来自迷信、伪科学、反
科学和科学不端行为的巨大挑战。越来越多的中国人意识到这是个大问题，正站
出来捍卫科学。我把这个奖励视为国际科学界对我们的努力的认可，我对此深表
谢意。谢谢。

　　I'm truly honoured to receive the John Maddox Prize. Science in 
China faces great challenges from superstition, pseudoscience, 
anti-science and scientific misconduct. There are more and more 
Chinese people who realise this is a big problem and are standing up 
for science. I consider this award as an acknowledgement of our 
efforts from the international science community and I deeply 
appreciate it. Thank you.
